Hide At Scales Courser Than... (Elevation Markers)
Переглядів 5623 місяці тому
This confused me for the longest time and I finally got my brain wrapped around what is 'finer' and what is 'courser'. I know that seems elementary, but when you are trying to get an Elevation Marker to NOT show up on the Site Plan or the main 1/8" Floor Plans.. it matters. lol Enjoy. Happy Revitting!!!

SIGNAGE: Create, Place and Schedule (with Automatic Room Names)
Переглядів 4,7 тис.2 роки тому
Signage can be a real bear to deal with in Revit if you go totally manual. But if you use the right parameters, and a little bit of family know-how, you can get your schedules to report the Room Names and Numbers. This can save tons of time when things change... At my last day of my employment, I was really super annoyed with my co worker being repeatedly working on the same spot on my workset therefore I created a different workset and locked it just for me, since it was my last day, I even managed to locate the central model and deleted it and all the traces, I managed myself in this process. This workflow is also called BIM- Be In the Mess

As a Civil Designer, I would say that architects often lack familiarity with real-world coordinate systems. In civil engineering and construction, we rely on northing, easting, and elevation for precise measurements. To put this into perspective, 1 degree of latitude or longitude equals approximately 69 miles. Now consider this: how can anyone achieve the precision and accuracy needed for constructing a project as small as 5 acres using latitude and longitude? These coordinates are typically used for large-scale geospatial data acquisition, not detailed site work. I would encourage schools of architecture to include land surveying as part of their curriculum to bridge this gap in knowledge.
